"Together we can make a difference!"

Sensory Friendly Learning Inc. (SFL) and Facing Autism Together Everyday (FATE) have merged in an effort to expand services available to local families affected by a range of learning disorders including: Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Down syndrome, and Dyslexia.

Among the services offered are monthly support group meetings, advocacy for those with special needs, and most importantly, free after-school tutoring for individuals with special needs. S.F.L. has been very successful with its after school program in Fitzgerald and is very excited to implement the program in Coffee and surrounding communities.

SFL – FATE meets every 2nd Saturday of the month at 11:00 A.M. in Conference Room 101 at the Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Georgia.

  1. Hi Brittany,
I have an offer from an Autism organization to review their apps. Would you like me to ask if you too could be involved? Call me if you have questions. I will paste a quote of what they said:
"We choose the apps and gift the download codes to you based on the device you are using. Each app review takes anywhere from 1-4 hours to complete using our standard app review form, depending on the complexity of the app. We also ask that you write a short 3-4 paragraph summary of your app review, which will be featured in our newsletter.
You can conduct as few or as many reviews as you want each month.
From reading your blog, it seems you are accustomed to using lots of different apps already in your own practice/teaching. If there are ones that you really love and want to review, you are welcome to submit reviews on those as well. Just let me know which ones they are so I can make sure that we don't already have them reviewed. We try to stick to a central topic for each monthly issue. Our upcoming topics include: Social Skills and Peer to Peer Interaction; Safety; and Back to School/Education.
Our publication is set to become a paid subscription in two months, but as an app reviewer you will continue to receive Touch Technology News for free.
I can get you started on reviewing apps as soon as you are ready. Just let me know what type of device (iPad, Android, etc) you will be using so I can send ya the codes."
